Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Period Buddy ("Service"), a cycle-tracking service delivered over WhatsApp. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Period Buddy. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. The service

Period Buddy provides menstrual-cycle tracking, reminders, reports, and educational health information through a chat interface on WhatsApp. Some features are free; others require a paid Pro subscription.

3. Not medical advice

Period Buddy is a wellness and tracking tool, not a medical service. The information we provide is general educational content and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have about a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or were told via Period Buddy.

4. Your account

Your account is identified by the phone number you use on WhatsApp. You are responsible for keeping your device and WhatsApp account secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• Pro subscription: Pro is offered at $3 USD per month or $25 USD per year. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time — see Section 6.
• Payment processor: Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. By subscribing, you also agree to the payment processor's terms.
• Taxes: Prices shown do not include applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout where required.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time by sending the CANCEL command via WhatsApp or emailing somveer.builds@gmail.com. On cancellation, your Pro access continues through the end of the current billing period and is not renewed.

7. Refunds

Our refund terms are described on the Refund Policy page, which is part of these Terms.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access another user's data or account.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Service.
• Use the Service to send spam, harassment, or harmful content.
• Resell, repackage, or sub-license the Service without our written consent.

9. Intellectual property

The Period Buddy name, logo, content, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Your content

You retain all rights to the data you submit (cycle dates, notes, messages). You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PREDICTIONS, INSIGHTS, OR AI-GENERATED ANSWERS ARE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PERIOD BUDDY AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for material breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time by sending DELETE.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws where the Service is operated. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless a binding consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service and reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
